Friday evening, Carmi Police observed 21 year old James Parker of Carmi at the Huck’s gas station and knowing he was wanted on two White County warrants for domestic battery, took Parker into custody at 5:32pm. Parker was transported to the White County Jail, and is being held on a $1000 bond.
On Saturday, 44 year old Belinda Roberts of Carmi was arrested on a White County warrant for retail theft at 1:20 am. While in custody, Roberts was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, syringes, drug paraphernalia, and cannabis and was additionally charged. Roberts remains in the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
Monday morning, a police pursuit that began in Franklin County ended with the arrest of a Carmi woman at her residence on Marshall Street. 32 year old Michelle Miller was taken into custody after a struggle with Carmi Police at 1:41 am and transported to the White County Jail, where she is being held without bond. Miller was charged in White County with aggravated battery, obstructing justice, and resisting a police officer. In Hamilton County, she has been charged with aggressive fleeing and reckless driving. Charges from Franklin County are expected to be filed against Miller.
