In Edwards County Court Tuesday, 39 year old Landon Yates of West Salem was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon according to States Attorney Eric St. Ledger.
Judge William Hudson gave Yates credit for 449 days he has spent in jail awaiting sentencing, and Yates will be under one year of mandatory supervised release for one year following incarceration.
