The Saline County Sheriff’s Department has announced that two arrests have been made in connection with last week’s shooting that occurred outside Eldorado.
19 year old Wesley T Mayberry of Eldorado and a 16 year old juvenile are in custody for their involvement in the shooting of 33 year old Adam Smith of Broughton.
Mayberry has been charged with robbery and obstruction of justice, while the juvenile is facing charges of robbery and attempted murder.
Smith was shot Wednesday night, and remains in serious condition after being airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
Illinois State Police and the Eldorado Police Department assisted in the investigation.
