Working on a leaf collection or interested in learning how to identify the different trees in our area? Tree identification hikes will be held at Beall Woods State Park on Saturday, September 2nd and 9th. Please meet at the park’s visitor center at 9am. Hikes will last approximately two hours. If you plan on collecting leaves, don’t forget a phone book to place your leaves in.
The park staff is excited to announce that Matt Shellenberg will be back to share his amazing photographs with the public. On Saturday, September 23rd at 10am, Shellenberg will present a nature photography program inside of the Visitor Center. He has captured beautiful images of mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects. Not only will participants view his work, but will learn photography tips throughout the program.
