Carmi Police arrested 41 year old Sandra Astorga-Vera of Carmi Friday afternoon on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and criminal damage to property.
Astorga-Vera was taken into custody at 2:25 pm at an apartment on Stevens Street. She is being held without bond at the White County Jail pending a court hearing.
Sunday afternoon, Carmi Police took a damage report from 39 year old Sarah Yates of Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Yates told officers that sometime between 5 and 11 pm Saturday, someone slashed all four tires of her vehicle.
