Three men received Illinois Department of Corrections prison terms in White County Court on Monday according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
28 year old Nathan Behrens of New Haven was sentenced to 10 years in prison on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and 10 years on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Following incarceration, Behrens will be under mandatory supervised release for one year, and was ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments. The White County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case, and Behrens was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle.
25 year old Michael Aud-Headlee of Carmi was sentenced to five years in prison on a charge of aggravated battery with two years of mandatory supervised release. The Carmi Police Department arrested Aud-Headlee in May after he struck a police officer. Aud-Headlee was also represented by Public Defender Shinkle, and was ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments.
25 year old Michael Burch of Carmi was sentenced to four years in prison and two years of mandatory supervised release on a charge of residential burglary. Burch was recommended for the Impact Incarceration Program, and was ordered to pay restitution to his victim in addition to all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments. Burch was represented by Public Defender Rhonda Blades.
The sentences in all three cases were handed down by Judge T. Scott Webb and prosecuted by States Attorney Aud.
