Wabash Valley College is pleased to announce one of its newest programs now being offered to students beginning this Fall Semester – Music and Media!
Music is an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. For those enrolling in Wabash Valley College’s new Music and Media program, which earns an Associate in Applied Science degree, music is much more!
Wabash Valley College prepares students for the competitive world of music and recording by providing a blend of business essentials in addition to highly specialized technical knowledge. The Music and Media program prepares students for careers as music performers, audio/video technicians, record studio technicians, sound technicians, and digital media managers.
Employment of media and communication occupations is projected to grow 4 percent from 2014 to 2024, which will result in about 27,400 new jobs. Demand for media and communication occupations should stem from the need to create, edit, translate, and disseminate information through a variety of different platforms.
