Kenny Raigner, Jr. is the newest addition to Southeastern Illinois College’s national championship archery team. Signing the team’s code of conduct, Raigner is flanked by his family, (l-r) Kenny Raigner, Sr.; Kailee Raigner; coach Roger Snodgrass; and Jonie Raigner.
Head archery coach Archie Blair announced last week that Kenny Raigner, Jr., a recent graduate of Carmi High School, will join Southeastern Illinois College’s Division I archery team in the fall. Raigner will be part of a team that has won 14 national titles and crowned 20 All-Americans.
“We are so fortunate to sign Kenny,” said Blair. “This young man has been a part of our archery development program since he was a sophomore in high school and has proven himself time and time again at the Scholastic 3D Association (S3DA), US Collegiate Archery Association (USCAA), and Archery Shooters Association (ASA) Pro-Am levels.”
Raigner brings quite the resume to his first semester at the college. Top finishes include

Since 2014, Raigner has had 12 other top 20 finishes, as well as many other top 10 ASA qualifier finishes.
Archery is a family affair to the Raigners. Raigner’s father, Kenny Raigner, Sr., has had four top 20 ASA Pro-Am finishes, along with a 5th place finish in Foley, Alabama. He won the Illinois ASA state shoot in the bow novice division in 2016. He, too, has had several top 10 ASA qualifier finishes.
Kailee Raigner, Raigner’s younger sister, shot her first ASA qualifier this March and placed 2nd in the middle school pins division. She recently joined SIC’s archery development program and will be shooting with the team this fall.
Raigner’s mother, Jonie Raigner, also enjoys shooting with her family.
Together, members of the Raigner family, along with two former Southeastern Illinois College archery teammates Cody and Trever Nelson, own and operate the Southern Illinois Archery Club in Carmi, Illinois.
