Carmi Police arrested 58 year old Darren McGuire of Carmi Friday morning for DUI after a traffic stop in the Trelleborg West parking lot.
McGuire was taken into custody at 10:20 am and was transported to the White County Jail. He was also charged with driving on a suspended license. McGuire was released after posting a $300 bond.
37 year old Misty Rector of Junction was served a Hardin County warrant for possession of methamphetamine by Carmi Police on Friday night at 8:07 pm. Rector was already incarcerated at the White County Jail on charges from Hamilton County. The new Hardin County charge carries a $325 bond amount.
Carmi Police arrested 29 year old Greg Sturgal of Carmi following a traffic stop early Sunday morning. Strugal was pulled over at 3:04 am in the Huck’s parking lot for displaying a license plate that did not match his vehicle. When officers searched the vehicle, they discovered a pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine. Sturgal was taken into custody and has been charged with unlawful use of registration, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He is being held without bond at the White County Jail pending a court hearing.
Carmi Police took a report of damage to the windows of the Carmi Light plant Sunday morning at 10:58 am, and took a report from Jordan Frost that at 9:25 pm she heard what sounded like BB pellets hitting her car while parked at her residence. Frost found a mark on her windshield.
