From American Legion Post 224 Coach Pat Stewart:
“During the game everyone involved believed that I was correct on the question about the Pinch Hitter. However, after reviewing the rule we were all wrong. A pinch Hitter may be substituted for the DH and then that player becomes the DH at that point. As of right now, the game with Metropolis will be picked up at noon on Saturday at the same spot.”
Carmi was leading Metropolis 3-2 in the bottom of the 6th inning when play was suspended.
