The Illinois State Police would like to make the traveling public aware of lane and road closures during the day on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. During the majority of the day on Tuesday, the Illinois State Police will be assisting the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) with an oversized equipment permit move.
The permit move will begin on Interstate 64 at the Indiana and Illinois state line, travel north on Illinois Route 1, and finally north on Illinois Route 130, ending at the old rest area south of Albion on Illinois Route 130. Prior to and during the permit move, the roads impacted will be closed, to prepare for and allow the extremely large load to safely travel and maneuver to the final destination.
IDOT has placed message boards on Illinois Route 130 in Grayville and Albion, informing travelers of the Illinois Route 130 closure for tomorrow. Please help us by avoiding the area tomorrow and seeking alternate routes to your destinations.
