Carmi Police arrested 47 year old Kelly Steele of McLeansboro for retail theft at the Carmi Dollar General. Steele was taken into custody at 2:23 pm, and a search of her person turned up a meth foil, a cannabis pipe, and two pills of a controlled substance.
Steele’s car was towed from the parking lot, and in the vehicle, officers found four baggies of meth, two straws with meth residue, a meth pipe, two coffee filters with meth residue, two baggies of marijuana, and half a pill suspected to be a controlled substance.
Steele was transported to the White County Jail, where she is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
