Carmi Police make multiple arrests on Monday

Carmi Police took a report of a stolen three wheeler Monday afternoon.  Tracy Gum reported that the Honda 200 had been taken from his 8th Street residence sometime between Sunday and Monday.

29 year old Michael Sullivan of Carmi was arrested by Carmi officers at a residence on Sycamore Street.  Sullivan was taken into custody at 3:03 pm on a White County warrant for failure to appear. He was transported to the White County Jail and later released after posting a $500 bond.

Carmi Police arrested 44 year old Raymond Roundtree and 60 year old Carla Duke, both of Carmi following a traffic stop at Walnut and Cherry Streets.  Officers pulled over a vehicle Roundtree was driving and took him into custody at 8:16 pm for driving on suspended license.  Roundtree was able to post a $150 bond at the scene for his release.

During the stop, Duke was arrested after she ate what officers suspected to be illegal drugs.  She was charged with obstructing justice and transported to the White County Jail, where she is being held without bond pending a court hearing.  Both Duke and Roundtree were also cited for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

40 year old Stephanie Parker of Carmi was arrested by Carmi Police on a White County warrant for failure to appear.  Parker was discovered in a tent in the backyard of a residence on Sycamore Street and taken into custody at 9:19 pm.  Parker was transported to the White County Jail and is being held in lieu of a $500 bond.
