The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
05/27/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 20 year old William J. Devers of Evansville, Indiana after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Devers was operating a motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Devers was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Devers was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested a couple after their vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of 11th and Cherry Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that the driver, Joshua A. Hall, age 32, of Raleigh, Illinois was operating the motor vehicle on a revoked driver’s license. Hall was arrested for driving while revoked. A search of the vehicle resulted in the arrest of the passenger, Miranda L. Carter, age 32, of Harrisburg. Narcotics were located in the vehicle resulting in the arrest of both subjects. Hall and Carter were transported to the Wabash County Jail. Hall is charged with driving while revoked and possession of a controlled substance. Carter was charged with possession of a controlled substance and cited for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Both were held pending the posting of bond.
05/28/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Tasia R. Knowles of Louisville, Kentucky after she was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was suspected that Knowles was under the influence of alcohol. Knowles was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Knowles was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with DUI and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Knowles was held pending the posting of bond.
05/29/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 year old Jensen M. Dardeen of Mt. Carmel. MCPD Officer’s arrested Dardeen at his residence on a failure to appear body attachment. Dardeen was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $150.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 63 year old Dennis E. Powell of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for a traffic stop. During the traffic stop it was discovered he was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Powell was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is suspended. Powell was held pending the posting of bond.
