The Carmi Kiwanis Club learned about The Donut Hole at their weekly meeting. Owned and operated by Brenda Niehaus, donuts are sold in Carmi and Crossville.
Niehaus had previously worked in a bakery and decided to start making and selling donuts. She has a location in Crossville open Wednesday- Sunday 5am- 11am. In Carmi, next to the VFW, she is open Thursday and Friday from 5am – 11 and Saturday and Sunday from 6am -11am.
Niehaus sells a variety of donuts, long johns, fritters and cinnamon rolls to name a few item. She told the Club no order was too small and she may be contacted at 618-384-1871 for advance orders.
In Club business, President Jeremy Jordan told the club the Darryl Worley will be the headline Corn Day entertainment. Worley had a number one hit in Have You Forgotten and has had chart topping songs including I Miss My Friend and Awful, Beautiful Life.
