He told the Rotarians the function of the spine and how it coordinates with the brain. The brain sends impulses thru the spine and thru the nerve system to all parts of the body. When something inhibits the nerve flow, this is when problems occur. Using the spine he explained to the Rotarians that nerves go out from each vertebrae to various parts of the body. The brain acts as the communication center. He noted that 80% of the information to the brain comes from the joints of the spine. Patrick answered several questions from the Rotarians.

In club business, Rotarians will have a fish fry on Friday, May 12th at the American Legion. It will be from 5-7 PM and the cost will be $10. Patrick Haskell named Dale Peters the phantom. Don Drone won the honor of selecting the pink ball in the 50/50 drawing but did not select the pink ball so the pot rolls over. Little Giant and Andy Williams served up a delicious meal. The Carmi Rotary club meets at noon on Thursday at the First United Methodist Church. Anyone wishing to get involved is encouraged to come help Rotary with the many local projects and charities that are supported. You can follow us on Facebook.
