The Robert and Norma Bethards Scholarship was awarded to Autumn Hudson for the 2016-2017 academic year.
This scholarship is in honor of Robert and Norma Bethards, who have supported the WVC Foundation, as well as other educational fundraising efforts, for over 30 years. Robert served as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee for many years and is a Past President of the WVC Foundation. The scholarship, given by their daughter, Ann, is awarded to encourage study in engineering or business.
The award will be used for in-District tuition only and may be applied only to WVC classes. The recipient must be a candidate for an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Arts, or Associate in Science degree.
Autumn is the wife of Adam Hudson and the mother of Addison Hudson. Her parents are Julie and Dave Hedden and Norman and Judy Swetteram. She lives in Oakland City, IN, and is a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and Vincennes Beauty College. After she completes her work at WVC, Autumn plans to transfer to Franklin University to attain a Bachelor’s and possibly a Master’s degree. She would like to teach business college courses or focus more on business law.
The recipient of several honors, Autumn has maintained a 4.0 GPA, has been named to the CEO’s Honors List and has received other scholarships at WVC.
