Carmi Police arrested 32 year old James Lindsay Jr. Saturday morning following a traffic stop on 5th Street. Lindsay was seen leaving the Pundrakes parking lot, and was known to have an active White County warrant for retail theft. Lindsay was taken into custody at 12:30 am and transported to the White County Jail. He was later released after posting a $150 bond.
A 15 year old male juvenile was arrested on a charge of domestic battery by Carmi Police Sunday morning after it was reported he struck his 17 year old brother. Officers were called to a residence at 707 N 9th Street at 8:01 am and made the arrest. The 15 year old was released to the custody of his grandmother and the 17 year old was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
Carmi Police received a call about a domestic violence incident at 105 Paint Creek Lane on Sunday at 5:48 pm. The victim then arrived at the police department and signed a complaint against 33 year old Heather Bond, who was taken into custody at the residence following a call about a second incident there. Bond was transported to the White County Jail, and is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
