The following subject was arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
02/28/2017- An investigation into an unregistered sex offender living in the 400 block of W. 4th Street lead to the arrest of 24 year old Christopher I. Brown of Perry County, Indiana. Police received information that Brown had moved to Mt. Carmel without notifying authorities that he changed his residence. Mt. Carmel Police went to the residence and located Brown living at the residence. Police placed Brown into custody and transported him to the Wabash County Jail where he is being held pending the posting of bond. Brown is charged with failure to notify authorities of an address change. Mt. Carmel Police were assisted by the United States Marshal Service and the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office.
