Morgan Powers has been selected as the recipient of the 2016-2017 Mary Virginia Deputy Cunningham Scholarship awarded at Wabash Valley College.
The Mary Virginia Deputy Cunningham Scholarship is a one-year scholarship awarded to a WVC student who is pursuing a career in a health-related field and/or is enrolled in a pre-baccalaureate transfer program. The scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Robert Cunningham.
The recipient must be a resident in the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges District #529 or a resident in one of the designated surrounding Indiana Counties.
Morgan Powers, a graduate of Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City, IN. is the daughter of Tracy Powers and Terry Powers of Oakland City. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Health Professions Club, and Student Nurses Association. Morgan has been named to the CEO’s Honors List. She is the recipient of the Trilogy Scholarship and the Bertha Carrell Scholarship, as well as the Mary Virginia Deputy Cunningham Scholarship. Her future career goal is to earn her Associate Degree and R.N. from WVC and then pursue a BSN degree, and work at Deaconess Gateway.
