On March 17, 2017, at 5:32 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of two intoxicated males at a residence in the 2600 block of West 50 South near Princeton, Indiana.
Upon arriving Sgt. Bruce Vanoven located a Black 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV parked at a residence with two visibly intoxicated males in the vehicle. With the assistance of Deputy Jennifer Loesch and Princeton Officer’s Matthew Perry and Jeremy Robb, Sgt. Vanoven opened an investigation into the 911 call.
Upon speaking with neighbors in the area they stated that they were alarmed by the erratic behavior of the occupants of the vehicle and requested law enforcement to come investigate the matter.
At the conclusion of Sgt. Vanoven’s investigation 31 year old Travis Clifton of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and 43 year old Shane Lawrence of Hampshire, Illinois were taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication.
Both men remain in custody on an $1100 bond. All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
