WVC NOW ACCEPTING FAMILY HEIRLOOM QUILTS FOR “STITCH IN TIME” EXHIBIT

The public is invited to present their family heirloom quilts for the upcoming “Stitch in Time” exhibit in the Brubeck Arts Center Gallery at Wabash Valley College. This special exhibit will be on display from March 13 to April 21 and will tell the stories of local families through the fabric of the individual quilts.

There will be a reception hosted by the Mt. Carmel Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in the Brubeck Gallery at 3 o’clock on March 19, following the matinee performance of “Bingo: the Winning Musical.”

Exhibitors and community members will also have an opportunity to register their quilts in the Illinois Quilt Research Project, a statewide historic quilt registry, part of the Land of Lincoln Quilters Association Early American Museum, based in Mohomet, IL.

Entry guidelines: The quilt must be made by a family member of the person named on the entry form; One quilt entry per person; Quilts judged as too fragile, incomplete, torn, or soiled will not be accepted.
