Beginning Dec. 20, Shawnee National Forest will close its Jonesboro office for remodeling for about five weeks.
You can obtain a firewood permit, purchase a map or get a disability access permit from the Jonesboro office with an appointment. To schedule an appointment, call (618) 833-8576. All other services can be obtained at the forest’s Vienna and Harrisburg offices, which are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Forest Service will issue an announcement when Jonesboro reopens for business. For more information, please contact the Vienna office at 618-658-2111.
