Delaney Phelps of Eldorado pours materials into a test tube that she will then turn into snow at SIC.

Jack Frost clearly does not corner the market on making snow! The Southeastern Illinois College Math & Science Club was busy this week learning to make the fluffy white stuff.  The club is practicing up to help children learn to make snow during Santa’s Breakfast in the SIC Cafeteria on Saturday morning, Dec. 3, 9- 11 a.m.

Brooklyn Beckham of Eldorado, president of the SIC Math & Science Club works at making snow in preparation for Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The jolly man himself will be there ready to hear the children’s wish lists and pose for photos at the pancake breakfast.  There will be other activities, such as a coloring contest, “elfie” station, story time, crafts and more.  The cost is $5 per person, and money raised will benefit student scholarships and support at SIC.  There is no age limit, and all are welcome.
