MCPD activity report 11/23 – 11/26

11/23/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 30 year old John S. Oberg of Evansville after police were called to an apartment in the 100 block of Mulberry Street.  The complainant called the police stating that an unwanted intoxicated male subject walked into the home uninvited.  When police arrived on scene they recognized Oberg as the male subject they removed from another home 40 minutes prior to this call.  Oberg was arrested for criminal trespass to a residence and disorderly conduct.  Oberg was held at the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.

11/24/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 25 year old Kristina M. Doan of Princeton after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of W. 9th Street.  During the traffic stop it was discovered that Doan was driving on a suspended driver’s license.  Doan was issued a citation for driving suspended and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond.

11/25/2016-Mt. Carmel Police were called to the 400 block of Ash Street reference an intoxicated male subject.  Upon arrival MCPD Officers were told that 23 year old Matthew S. Doan of Mt. Carmel had threatened a subject with a steak knife.  The knife was located and Doan was placed under arrested.  No one was injured during the incident.  Doan was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.  Doan is currently being held on a no bond warrant.

11/26/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 40 year old Amber L. Tipsword of Bridgeport after she was stopped fro a traffic violation in the 200 block of Walnut Street.  During the traffic stop it was discovered that Tipsword was driving on a suspended driver’s license.  Tipsword was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving while suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.   Tipsword was held pending the posting of bond.

A traffic stop by a MCPD Officers resulted in the driver going to jail for DUI and the passenger going to jail for obstructing a peace officer.  A MCPD Officer stopped 29 year old Christopher M. Lockhart of Mt. Carmel for a traffic violation.  The arresting officer reported that Lockhart had a stong alcoholic beverage smell coming from his person and that Lockhart failed field sobriety testing.  A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Richard C. Longbons of Bone Gap.  Longbons was arrested after he interfered with arrest of Lockhart.  Lockhart was cited for DUI and improper lane usage.  Lockhart bonded out shortly after being processed for DUI.  Longbons was charged with resisting/obstructing a peace officer.  Longbons was held pending the posting of bond.
