Illinois State Police District 19 troopers investigated two traffic crashes with injuries Thursday evening.
At 5:35 pm, Troopers responded to an accident on Route 14 in Hamilton County. According to the preliminary crash report, a pickup driven by 40 year old Krystal Alexander of McLeansboro was rear ended by 19 year old James Chapman of Broughton. Alexander was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, but two juvenile passengers in the pickup were un-injured. Chapman was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
At 6:55 pm, Troopers responded to an accident in Edwards County on Route 15. There, a semi driven by 40 year old Bryant Harner of Albion was pulling off the highway when it was struck in the driver’s side of the cab by 72 year old Wilma Moore of Ellery. Moore was taken to a hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. No citations were issued in the accident.
