The Harrisburg American Legion will be the site of great fun as Special Olympics Illinois, Southeastern/Area 14 host a fundraiser with doors opening at 6 pm and a Trivia Contest beginning at 7 pm. The cost is just $100 per table (up to 8 team members) with a minimum of 4 people on a team. In addition, the American Legion will provide a cash bar and there will be a bucket raffle and silent auction to add a little more fun to the evening.
The top trivia team will receive cash prize of $100. The 2nd place team will receive a cash prize of $50. We will also be having an Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest with a prize.
The proceeds from the tournament will remain in this area to provide training and competition events for nearly 525 Special Olympics athletes in southeastern Illinois, as they demonstrate their athletic abilities in 10 Olympic-type sports throughout the year. Area 14 serves athletes in the following counties: Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jefferson, Marion, Pope, Saline, Wabash, Wayne, and White.
Please join us at the Harrisburg American Legion on Saturday, November 5 at 6 pm. We will begin the first of 10 rounds of 10 trivia questions based off your favorite “Trending Apps or Games” at 7 pm. Come out and have a great time while you help provide quality opportunities for our friends and neighbors with intellectual disabilities.
Guests are invited to bring their own snacks. A cash bar will be available.
