The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
9/21/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested Justin M. Bray, age 26, of Allendale after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Bray was operating the vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. A search of the vehicle resulted in suspected methamphetamine being found along with ammunition. Bray was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is suspended, operating uninsured motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no firearm owner’s identification card. Bray was held pending the posting of bond.
Police took a report of a vehicle being damaged in the 300 block of W. 10th Street. The complainant advised that he suspected a female slashed one of his tires and keyed an obscenity in the side of his car. On 09/22/2016, police arrested 44 year Rebecca L. Hutton of Mt. Carmel and charged her with criminal damage to property. Hutton was released after posting $150.00 cash bond.
09/22/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 33 year old David A. Powell of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped in the 200 block of Bellmont Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that the registration on the 1996 Honda he was driving actually belonged on a 2004 Chrysler. It was also discovered that Powell did not have a valid driver’s license. Powell was transported to the Wabash County Jail and issued citations for no valid driver’s license, unlawful display of registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Powell was held pending the posting of bond.
09/23/2016-Mt. Camel Police arrested 24 year old Tyler L. Baggett of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped in the 1800 block of W. 9th Street. The reporting officer noted an alcoholic beverage smell coming from the person of Baggett and he was subsequently arrested for DUI. Baggett was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with DUI, driving while revoked, and improper lane usage. Baggett was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Cameron A. Vessels of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for not wearing a seat belt. During the traffic stop it was discovered that he was operating a motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Vessels was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 37 year old Shannon R. Dill of Mt. Carmel after she was observed walking in the 200 block of S. Mulberry Street. The arresting officer knew Dill was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Dill was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
09/24/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Chrissy A. Mounlio of Mt. Carmel after was stopped in the 700 block of Market Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Mounlio was driving while revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Mounlio was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of $200.00 cash.
09/24/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Thane A. Tingley of Mt. Carmel after he was observed operating a motor vehicle in the 200 block of North Walnut Street. The arresting officer knew Tingley was wanted on a Wabash County warrant and initiated a traffic stop. Tingley was taken into custody and held on a $300.00 cash bond.
