On Friday, Carmi Police officers arrested 34 year old Jesse Stephens of Carmi after a 911 call was received saying that Stephens had kicked in the door of an apartment on Main Cross Street, entered the residence and destroyed items inside.
Stephens was located on Cherry Street at 11:07am and taken into custody. Once in custody, officers discovered Stephens to be in possession of a controlled substance, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia. Stephens has been charged with disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was issued two citations for possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.
Stephens was transported to the White County Jail, where he is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
Sunday evening, 21 year old Logan Kilgore of Carmi surrendered himself at the Carmi Police Department on a White County warrant. Kilgore was transferred to the custody of corrections officers at 5pm. He is being held at the White County jail pending the post of a $150 bond.
