CRSL Says Thanks

The 2016 CRSL ball season has come to an end at Bradshaw Park with many lifetime memories played out on our fields. Like last year, the rain dampened spirits and juggled schedules at times, but coaches & players found a way to “Play Ball” to the enjoyment of kids & adults alike. As the Player’s Creed proudly declared on Opening Day, May 7th, “I will play fair and strive to win, but win or lose, I will always do my best!”

A big THANK YOU goes out to all those who helped CRSL complete construction on our new Concession Stand – a great addition to Bradshaw Park in 2016. Several supporters & memorials are listed on the plaque displayed at the Concession Stand, while other supporters behind the scenes declined recognition. On behalf of our players, the CRSL Board thanks each & every business and individual whom made financial & material donations, donated their time & labor in construction, and volunteered to serve in the Stand during the season. You all went above & beyond!

The season itself would not have been complete without the help of many local businesses and team sponsors, individual supporters, coaches & umpires, volunteers at our Corporate Work Day, and of course – the players & their families without whom our summer program would not exist. A special THANK YOU goes out to Tri-State Butane for donating gas for our cooking grills the past two seasons and Shawn Slay for donating Otter tickets the past two years to any players & parents upon request. Your efforts were walk-off homers!

It’s not about the final score but about providing an opportunity for our children to build friendships, learn the rules of the game, play fair, give 100%, and regardless of the final score, know they are winners!

Thanks for your continued support as we strive to work harder in providing a summer recreational program that grows stronger each year – learning from our mistakes while building upon our successes. As adults, coaches & parents, on and off the field we must lead by example. We seek your comments and willingness to volunteer as we continue to make positive changes in our leagues. Wishing you a safe off-season and hope to see you again at Bradshaw Park in 2017!
