The Carmi Police Department received a report of damage to a parked car on Tuesday morning. Courtney Johnson told officers someone had dented the trunk and scratched the front driver’s side fender of her car while it was parked in front of her Smith Drive residence sometime between 4pm on Monday and 9:24am Tuesday.
32 year old Darcie Lakins of Carmi surrendered herself on a White County warrant to Carmi Police at 11:12am at the Department office. Lakins was wanted on a charge of theft of currency greater than $500. Lakins was turned over to the White County Jail and was later released on a $150 bond.
