Wabash Valley College and the Wabash Valley Arts Council are pleased to announce that scripts are now available in the Bauer Media Center for the fall production, “Farce of Nature,” which will be presented October 14, 15, and 16, 2016. Auditions will be held at 7 o’clock on August 29 and 30 in the Brubeck Theatre. Lynn Kinkade will be serving as Artistic Director for the comedy which has a cast of 4 men and 5 women. Scripts will be available on a one-week reserve.

The Reel’Em Inn was the finest little fishing lodge in the Ozarks. But business is down and the lone guest is only there due to a location shift in the Witness Protection Program. Doesn’t anybody just want to fish anymore? The proprietor’s wife has taken drastic steps to improve their love life through hypnotic suggestion. Bring in a diverse and slightly twisted parade of characters and you get a deliciously funny romp as everyone hides, lies, cross-dresses, and slams the doors in their efforts to evade the others.

Playwrights Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, collectively known as Jones Hope Wooten, enjoy the reputation of being three of the most popular and widely-produced playwrights in the United States. They specialize in writing laugh-out-loud comedies and creating vivid strong roles for women. Because of their commitment to and support of local theatres across the nation, they have built a following with legions of loyal fans and have been dubbed America’s Playwrights.

Lynn Kinkade will be returning to Wabash Valley College as Artistic Director after directing “The Red Velvet Cake War,” “Rex’s Exes,” “Funny Little Thing Called Love,” “Luxury Cruise,” and the Radio Play, “It’s A Wonderful Life,”( in 2013 and 2015) in the Brubeck Theatre. Lynn retired as Managing Artistic Director of Evansville Civic Theatre several years ago. He holds a BA in theatre and drama from Indiana University, and has worked with theatre groups in Indianapolis, Bloomington, IN, Norwalk, CT, New York

City, and the Republic of Vietnam over the past 50 years as an actor, director, playwright, designer and technical crew.
