Three sentenced in Hamilton County on drug charges Thursday

Three individuals were sentenced in Hamilton County Court on Thursday for drug charges according to States Attorney Justin Hood.

28 year old Lenwood Arnold of McLeansboro pled guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced to six years in Department of Corrections custody and one year of mandatory supervised release.  The charge stems from a June 1 arrest by McLeansboro Police following a traffic stop.  Arnold’s sentence will run concurrent with supervised release on prior convictions in both Hamilton and Saline Counties.

zuber opal 6-16-16

40 year old Opal Zuber will spend five years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine.  Zuber was arrested by Hamilton County Probation officers after a compliance search of her home on May 24.  Zuber’s sentence will run concurrent with a probation violation on a Wayne County case, and she will be under supervised release for one year following incarceration.

hampton jesse 6-16-16

32 year old Jesse Hampton of Benton was sentenced to two years in DOC custody and one year of supervised release on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.  Hampton was arrested by McLeansboro police on March 17 while walking on Route 14, after it was discovered he had 92 Tramadol pills in a duffle bag without a prescription.
