The White County Sheriff’s Office has received a report of a man and woman going door to door saying they were with Ameren and wanted peoples account numbers to switch electric companies.
Sheriff Doug Maier stated in a press release issued Monday morning that Ameren does not go door to door for this purpose and is advising people to not give out their account numbers or any other personal information.
