16th Annual Charity Golf Scramble for Special Olympics, Southeastern /Area 14

The 16th Annual Charity Golf Scramble, to benefit Special Olympics Illinois, Southeastern/Area 14 will be held on Saturday, June 4th, at the Wayne County Golf Course. Lunch begins at 11 am with play starting at Noon. This is a 4-person team event, with teams made up of all males, all females or any combination. The $50 per person registration fee will include 18 holes and cart rental, BBQ lunch, and free gifts for all participants. Please register your team by May 20th.

We still need local sponsors to help support the tournament. If your business or organization would like to sponsor a hole ($100) or the grand prize ($200) or the fleet of carts ($500) this would be greatly appreciated. Merchandise donations for the prize drawings are also needed. We are thankful to all those that have helped us in the past and we need your support again in 2016 so that we can continue offering this sports program to the Special Olympics athletes at no cost to them.

The proceeds from the tournament will remain in this area to provide training and competition events for nearly 550 Special Olympics athletes in southeastern Illinois, as they demonstrate their athletic abilities in 10 Olympic-type sports throughout the year. Area 14 serves athletes in the following counties: Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jefferson, Marion, Pope, Saline, Wabash, Wayne, and White.

Please join us at the Wayne County Golf Course on Saturday, June 4th and help provide great opportunities for our friends and neighbors with intellectual disabilities. This is a fun and relaxed charity tournament and you do not need to be an accomplished golfer to enjoy the day.
