Parole violation leads to drug charges for Enfield man

Tuesday morning, White County deputies responded to a report of a bullet striking a house.  Diana and Neal Mason told the Sheriff’s Department that around 2pm Monday that they heard two gunshots, and later noticed a hole on the outside of the house, but did not associate the two.  On Tuesday while cleaning, Diana found a hole through a cabinet and the wall in line with the hole outside, and later found a 40 or 45 caliber bullet while vacuuming.  The report states that the shot appears to come from some houses to the southeast of the Mason’s residence.

An Enfield man wanted for a parole violation in Kentucky is now facing additional drug charges after his arrest by the White County Sheriff’s Department.  32 year old Justin Owen was taken into custody at 6:08pm Tuesday at his place of work.

During a search of Owen, deputies found four pills later identified as Tramadol, and a baggie of white powder that tested positive as methamphetamine.

Owen was transported to the White County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.  He is being held without bail pending court hearings.

At 7:41am Wednesday, Sheriff Doug Maier was alerted to the presence of suspicious items on County Road 1650 East near Crossville.  The Sheriff found a backpack, plastic bottle, plastic tubing, and other items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine and removed the items.
