04/13/2016- Mt. Carmel Police arrested Timothy W. Bailey, age 53, of Grayville after he was stopped for a registration violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Bailey never registered the said vehicle. Bailey was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful display of license plate not authorized for use and expired registration. Bailey was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested Bruce L. Cowling, age 43, of Browns after he was observed operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked. Cowling was stopped and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Cowling was held pending the posting of bond.
04/14/2016- Mt. Carmel Police arrested 26 year old Sergio D. Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas. Police arrested Rodriguez after it was discovered he was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Rodriguez was arrested after police received a “pocket-dial” 911 call. While police were investigating the call the realized Rodriguez was wanted. Rodriguez was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
04/16/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Nicholas Carie of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the arresting officer reported Carie appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Carie was given field sobriety testing and it was reported that he failed. Carie was then arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with DUI and disobeying a traffic control device.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 33 year old Curt E. Dill of Mt. Carmel after he was observed operating a motor vehicle. The arresting officer knew Dill was revoked and conducted a traffic stop in the area of 5th Street and Vine. Dill was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving revoked.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 21 year old Cassondra N. Banks and 27 year old Tracy Curtis Wilson of Mt. Carmel. Banks and Curtis were arrested after police were sent to 1230 N. Walnut Street to check on young children at the Banks residence. During the investigation drug paraphernalia was located. Banks and Wilson were transported to the Wabash County Jail where they were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The children were turned over a family member.
04/17/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested Vaughan Sloan, age 61, of Browns after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Sloan was driving on a revoked driver’s license and had open alcohol in the vehicle. Sloan was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving while revoked and illegal transportation of alcohol by a minor.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested Mark A. Hall, age 56, of Mt. Carmel after he was accused of threating a person with bodily harm. Police were called to 1230 N. Walnut Street reference a male subject with a knife. During the investigation it was determined that Hall threatened an individual with a large rock. Hall was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with aggravated assault.
