Two sentences were handed down in White County Court on Wednesday according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
25 year old Charley Buchanan will serve 18 months in Illinois Department of Corrections custody and be under mandatory court supervision for one year following incarceration after pleading guilty to one count of Class 4 Felony theft. In addition, Buchanan was ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, court costs, and assessments as well as $100 restitution to Casey’s General Store.
35 year old Arthur Barger of Carmi entered a guilty plea to one count of Class 3 Felony Theft and received a two year sentencein the custody of the Department of Corrections and one year of mandatory court supervised release. With the sentence, Barger had his probation revoked and was ordered to pay all previously ordered fines, fees, assessments, and restitution.
