The White County Sheriff’s Department took 25 year old Misty McFarland of Carmi into custody on Friday afternoon, after it was learned she was at a residence in Maunie. McFarland was wanted on a warrant out of Woodford County, and deputies made the arrest just after 2:30pm. McFarland is being held at the White County Jail on a $1000 bond.
Sunday morning, 28 year old Danny Contello of Norris City was arrested by White County deputies at the American Legion in Norris City on two warrants from White County and a parole hold from Missouri. Contello was taken into custody at 11:30am and transported to the White County Jail where he is being held without bond on the Missouri charges and a bond amount of $1875 on the White County warrants.
35 year old Leah Carter of Mill Shoals was arrested Sunday night by the
White County Sheriff’s Department on a White County warrant for domestic battery following a traffic stop on Route 45. Following her arrest, deputies discovered a baggie containing marijuana during a search of her vehicle, and Carter was additionally charged with possession of cannabis. Carter is being held at the White County jail in lieu of $1,150 in combined bond.
