The White County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call about a theft on Saturday afternoon in Enfield. 51 year old Timothy McGehee reported that sometime between Wednesday and Friday, someone stole a small white rocking chair from his front porch at 417 Hosick Street.
Saturday night, Sheriff’s deputies arrested 21 year old Josette St. John of Elkville following a traffic stop for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The stop was initiated just after 11pm at the intersection of Oak and 10th Streets after deputies noticed a pickup driving without headlights. A search of the vehicle by the Carmi Police K9 unit turned up marijuana and a glass smoking pipe in the vehicle. St. John was transported to the White County Jail, where she was released after posting a $150 bond. The vehicle was towed from the scene by S&E towing.
Monday morning, 31 year old Travis Napier was arrested by the Sheriff’s Department following a traffic accident on County Road 1675 E. Deputies responding to the accident at 10:25 am discovered Napier was driving on a suspended license. Napier was taken to the White County Jail and released after posting a $150 bond. He was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
