Fairfield Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that its Horizon Healthcare Carmi Medical Clinic has acquired the Saqib Practice in Carmi, IL. The last day of operation for Dr. Saqib’s clinic was March 31, 2025, with services seamlessly continuing under the Horizon Healthcare umbrella.
As part of this acquisition, all patients—both existing Horizon Healthcare Carmi Medical Clinic patients and those transitioning from the Saqib Practice—are now being seen at the Horizon Healthcare Carmi Medical Clinic, conveniently located at 1103 West Main Street, Carmi, IL 62828. The former Saqib practice location has been vacated.
As part of the acquisition, Horizon Healthcare Carmi Medical Clinic has welcomed two well-known and respected providers to its team: Sabrina Stanley, APN, FNP, and Jackie Camp, APN, FNP. Both practitioners will operate under the leadership of Kyle Kakac, MD, further strengthening the clinic’s commitment to accessible, high-quality care.
Dr. Kakac serves as the Medical Director of the Skilled Care Unit, Medical/Surgical Unit, and Intensive Care Unit at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. In addition, he provides hospitalist care via telehealth, ensuring continuity of expert care across settings and expanding access for patients who may require inpatient services. Additionally, Dr. Kakac maintains clinical privileges at long-term care facilities in White County and Gallatin County, where he collaborates closely with NP Camp and NP Stanley to provide seamless, ongoing care for residents.
Sabrina Stanley, APN, FNP, will see patients on Wednesdays, one day per week, providing care for long-term care, assisted living, home visits, and afternoon clinic appointments.
Jackie Camp, APN, FNP has joined the Carmi Medical Clinic full-time, five days a week, offering a mix of scheduled clinic visits, acute care, long-term care, assisted living, and home visits throughout the week.

To further meet patient needs, Horizon Healthcare Carmi Medical Clinic provides lab services for all patients with lab orders Monday through Friday. Additionally, radiology services are available on Wednesday afternoons for Commercial and Medicaid patients, and a mobile mammography unit visits the Carmi location monthly, offering enhanced access to preventative care.
