A Carmi woman is headed to probation thanks to an agreement through the Offender Initiative Program according to court records. It was October of 2023 when Christy Cribbs was charged with Theft between $10,000 and $100,000 from the school in Carmi where she was employed. The agreement will require Cribbs to serve two years of probation and 30 hours of community service through the probation office in White County where her husband is a probation officer. She’s also subject to a fine and restitution though those terms weren’t disclosed in online court records. A review has been set for May 1st.
