The Carmi-White County Baseball team defeated Edwards County yesterday afternoon by a final score of 5-4.

The Bulldogs trailed 2-1 after 2 innings of play, but they would score 3 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th to take a 5-2 lead, and they would hang on to that lead.

The Bulldogs improve to 5-7-1 on the year and 1-1 in the BDC, they will travel to Flora on Monday. 

The Carmi-White County Softball team fell to Edwards County yesterday in extra innings, falling 8-7.

The Lady Bulldogs took a 3-2 lead in the 4th inning, but Edwards County answered with 5 unanswered runs to regain the lead at 7-3. Carmi scored one in the 6th to cut the deficit to 7-4. Trailing 7-5 down to their final out in the top of the 7th inning, Mia Evans tied the game with a 2-run double, sending the game into extra innings. 

The comeback was for not, Edwards County walked it off with a solo home run in the bottom of the 8th to win it 8-7.

The Lady Dogs fall to 5-7 on the year, they will travel to Flora on Monday. 

The Carmi-White County Boys Tennis team traveled to Mt. Vernon (IL) yesterday, and the Bulldogs picked up an 8-1 win. 

Javan Lucas, Madden Anderson, Rylee Dodgson, Reece Whitley, and Ian Goemaat all won their singles matches. The Bulldogs also went 3-0 in doubles matches. 

The Bulldogs tennis team improves to 2-1 on the year. They will travel to Greenville today.

The Carmi-White County Boys Track team took part in the Flora Invitational yesterday afternoon, and the Bulldogs finished in 2nd Place. 

1st Place finishers were;
Mitchel Edwards in High Jump
Kale Wiggins in the 300 Meter Hurdles
Luke Bolerjack in the 1600 Meter Run
The 4×4 Relay Team of Preston Flowers, Isaac Northcott, Nolan Garner, and Jayde Albright.
