The Jonas brothers were arrested in Carmi late Wednesday evening. Officers pulled over 29-year-old Austin Jonas of Dahlgren and 19-year-old Ethan Jonas of Carmi at Oak and 6th just before 11pm. The traffic stop would reveal Austin was driving with a suspended license. He was also cited for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance, and wanted on a Hamilton County Failure to Appear warrant. The passenger, Ethan Jonas was arrested on a Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a passenger charge. Both men were released with notices to appear. Ethan Jonas is due in court on May 20th at 9am. Austin’s court date wasn’t listed in the arrest report, though online court records show he’s due back in Hamilton County court next Friday, April 25th.
