Two part-time summer employees were hired- Brody Barker and Brody Bildebeck, and all 14 people that applied for work at the pool were hired as well.

Mayor Chad May said that even though it’s early, that Christmas bonuses should be decided on.  The board agreed to offer the same amount as last year.

Approved was an ordinance regarding hobby animals within city limits, which can be amended at any time.

An ordinance revising the zoning regulation of the McLeansboro city code was approved that allows campers to be used as a temporary dwelling in case of an emergency.

An ordinance for stop signs to be placed on South McClellan in both directions at the intersection with East Cherry Street, for child safety, will be voted on at next month’s board meeting.

And there was discussion regarding the Public Works Director Unit and the City Administrator Unit clarification petitions.  They include language in them that allows the positions to be recognized by the union.  No action needs to be taken until the May meeting.

The board adjourned at 6:03 PM.
