The Carmi-White County Baseball and Softball teams were finally able to play some games this weekend after getting rained out on Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday the Bulldogs traveled to Vienna for a doubleheader. Carmi dropped both games, losing Game 1 by a score of 4-2, and losing Game 2 by a score of 10-5. 

Travor Mason, Merick Millhorn, Cade Allen, Gavin Holloman, Maxon O’Daniel, Mitchel Edwards, Ty Hollingsworth, and Tyson Spicer all picked up base hits on the day. 

The Bulldogs are now 3-5-1 on the year. They scheduled to travel to Mt. Vernon (IN) this afternoon for a make-up game from last week. Carmi will then travel to Edwards County tomorrow for a “home game” against the Lions. The Bulldogs are still not able to play at Eckerle Park due to flooding. Carmi will then travel to Johnston City on Wednesday, they will then go back to Edwards County on Thursday. 

The Carmi-White County Softball team went 1-1 this weekend, defeating Goreville 11-5, and losing to Harrisburg 6-4.

Addi Elliott, Mia Evans, Alayna Johnson, Caroline Simmons, Torrie Rider, Eva Attebury, Lindsay Simmons, Maggie Pearce, and Bri Hale all picked up base hits on the day. Torrie Rider hit a 3-run home run in Game 2, her second homer of the year. 

The Lady Bulldogs are now 5-5 on the year. They will host Edwards County tomorrow afternoon before traveling to Edwards County on Thursday. 

The Carmi-White County Boys Tennis team will be back in action today as they travel to Mt. Carmel. The Bulldogs will then travel to Mt. Vernon (IL) on Thursday and Greenville on Friday.

The Carmi-White County Girls Track team will run at the Hamilton County Invite this afternoon, they will then travel to West Frankfort tomorrow. 

The Carmi-White County Boys Track team will travel to Flora on Thursday for the Flora Invite.
