The Carmi-White County Baseball defeated Benton yesterday afternoon by a final score of 10-0.
Merick Millhorn picked up the win on the mound allowing just 1 hit in 4 ⅔ innings with 7 strikeouts.
At the plate,
Millhorn went 1-for-3 with 2 runs scored.
Travor Mason went 1-for-2 with 2 runs scored.
Cade Allen went 1-for-2 with a 2-run HR.
Hayden Sauls went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Jaxon Bradshaw went 1-for-3 with 2 RBI.
Tyson Spicer went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Gavin Holloman went 1-for-3.
Maxon O’Daniel went 1-for-1.
The Bulldogs are off to a 2-0 start this season, they will travel to Carterville tomorrow to face the Lions. They will then travel to Robinson on Saturday for a doubleheader against Robinson and Bismarck-Henning.
The Carmi-White County Softball team fell to Mt. Carmel yesterday by a final score of 17-5.
Addi Elliott went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Mia Evans went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Caroline Simmons went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Eva Attebury went 1-for-3.
Torrie Rider went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Briley McAllister and Bri Hale also scored runs for the Lady Bulldogs.
Carmi will have the rest of the week off, their next game will be on Monday when they travel to Lawrenceville.
