IHSA Boys Basketball Super-Sectionals from last night;
In the 1A EIU-Charleston Super-Sectional,
Effingham St. Anthony 62, Meridian 58 (OT)
St. Anthony will face Chicago Hope in the Class 1A State Semifinals on Thursday at 9:30 AM.
In the 2A SIU-Carbondale Super-Sectional,
Belleville Althoff 48, Teutopolis 37
Althoff will face Chicago Christ the King in the Class 2A State Semifinals on Thursday at 2 PM.
The Carmi-White County Boys and Girls Basketball teams held their end-of-season banquet last night at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi.
Addi Elliott and Caroline Simmons were named Co-MVPs for the Lady Bulldogs, as they both also tied for the team’s free throw award. Ashlyn Rager was the recipient of the Lady Bulldog award.
Mitchel Edwards was named Team MVP for the Bulldogs, Beck Huff was the recipient of the John Evers Award.
The Carmi-White County Baseball and Softball teams will begin their season on Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs will host Grayville, and the Bulldogs will host West Frankfort.
Monday’s baseball game can be heard on 97.3 FM WRUL, first pitch is set for 4:30 PM.
