A Burnt Prairie man is behind bars following his arrest by Carmi Police Monday evening. Police picked up 19-year-old Austin Carlson at the corner of Oak and Conger at about a quarter after 9pm. The report indicates Carlson was wanted on a White County warrant that dates back to September of last year when he was ticketed for Driving on a Suspended License, Exceeding the Speed Limit in a School Zone, and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt. After failing to appear, the warrant was issued in January. Carlson remains behind bars awaiting to be seen by a judge.
