A White County warrant landed a man in jail for an incident on February 21st.
Just last month, William Franks was charged with two counts of Unlawful Presence within a School Zone by a Sex Offender and one count of Unlawful Communication with a child by a Sex Offender using Snapchat.
These charges are not the first incidents for Franks. He was previously charged and found guilty for his first offense of Violation of Sex Offender Registration in 2015, then Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse in 2017, and Unlawful Communication with a Child by a Sex Offender using the Internet in 2022.
Franks turned himself in on the warrant five days after charges were filed at the White County Probation Office. He awaits a Preliminary hearing scheduled for March 26th at 10 am.
